Articuler.ai has raised tens of millions of yuan in the seed round, and is dedicated to AI-based professional social matching.

Articuler.ai recently announced that it has completed a multi-million-yuan seed round of financing earlier this year. This round of investment is led by Linge Ventures, followed by Zhuopu Investment and the family office of Mr. Wang Chuan, co-founder of Xiaomi. Yunxi Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor.

The company chose to enter the market from an extremely common scenario: an event.

Jason Shen, Founder of Articuler.ai

An event is the smallest social network

More than 100,000 events are held around the world every week. People attend events to find clients, investors, talents or partners, but who will meet whom still often depends on seating arrangements, acquaintances and luck.

"When you attend an event, you often don't know who you should get to know. The person that matters most to you may be sitting right next to you, but you don't even know he exists."

said Jason Shen, Founder of Articuler.ai.

Before the event starts, Articuler.ai helps organizers find target audiences and sponsors; during the event, the system matches participants with each other based on their backgrounds and intentions, and points out the value exchange points for both sides. This makes participants clear about "why I come and who I should meet after arriving", and also helps organizers significantly improve event attendance.

In the view of Articuler.ai, an event is the smallest social network: a group of people enter the same space-time with clear supply and demand, and the distribution network of the platform enables the most worthy people to connect with each other.

The essence of professional social networking is to match supply with demand

AI is greatly improving individual productivity, and people and opportunities are beginning to decouple from traditional organizations and flow at a high speed. But having a product does not mean having customers, and having code does not mean having revenue. Productivity can only be transformed into value when it meets real demand.

Therefore, the essence of social networking is not to exchange more business cards, but to enable capabilities and demands to meet at the right moment: a good social network shortens the distance between you and the right people.

This also requires "the database of people" in the AI era to undergo two changes:

Different evaluation criteria — not only focusing on whether the profile is complete, but also on whether the recommendation gets a response and whether the connection is actually established;

Different data dimensions — not only relying on user-submitted data such as company, position and skills, but also understanding backgrounds, intentions and recording real interactions.

Events naturally generate these new types of data: who needs whom, who chooses whom, and who responds to what kind of demand. These data will continuously strengthen everyone's professional identity and make the next matching more accurate.

From a single event to 1.8 billion white-collar workers worldwide

Previous-generation platforms use keywords to describe people, which is equivalent to compressing a complex individual into several sets of tags. A large amount of semantic and modal information is lost in this process.

Through the self-developed Embedding model, Articuler.ai converts people's professional experience, capabilities, backgrounds and current intentions into computable vector data with more than 8000 dimensions, so as to judge whether there is real value exchange between two people.

At present, Articuler.ai has covered more than 980 million public professional profiles of white-collar workers worldwide, with a matching accuracy of over 95%, and the marginal matching cost is only a few tenths or even hundredths of that of similar products.

Based on this technology, Articuler.ai is building two layers of infrastructure:

1. A professional identity system that understands personal backgrounds, capabilities, intentions and real choices;

2. A distribution network that brings clients, talents, capital and opportunities to the right people.

To B and To C are the two ends of this network: To B brings high-value, structured demands, and To C brings large-scale professional identities, real-time intentions and real interactions. Everyone can find the people they need, and will also be found by those who truly need them.

From tool to network: the three-step development path of Articuler.ai

The development path of Articuler.ai is divided into three steps: first, use more accurate and lower-cost tools to solve specific problems such as finding clients, talents and opportunities; then build a series of smallest operable atomic social networks through events; finally, connect these atomic networks to form a professional social platform serving 1.8 billion white-collar workers worldwide.

Jason Shen, Founder of Articuler.ai, used to work at Hedosophia and SOSV, with five years of investment experience in Europe and the United States, and is familiar with the pain points of global professional social networking. Bob Zhang, CTO of the company, used to be Technical Director of Tantan and Co-founder & CTO of Jumu, who has fully experienced four generations of iteration of person-to-person matching technology.

Articuler.ai is accelerating market expansion and growth, serving more B-end users with its core technology stack, and continuously building early atomic social networks.

From real connections to business growth

At present, Articuler.ai has served more than 50,000 users; on the B-end, the company has served the world's leading headhunting firms and top-tier funds, helping them with talent mapping and deal sourcing, and helping cross-border e-commerce sellers find global B-end sales leads. In addition, Articuler.ai has deeply participated in the world's top event ecosystem: it has jointly created Codex Community Build Night with OpenAI, and continuously served dozens of top conferences and industry events such as AASF, AGI Summit, YC Startup School Afterparty, and Qiji Chuangtan Alumni Day, connecting the most influential circles with matching technology.

The company's economic model has achieved positive cycle, and its revenue maintains high growth. The current annual recurring revenue (ARR) from subscriptions has exceeded 1 million US dollars.

Linge Ventures said:

"Over the past two years, it has gradually become a consensus that AI has greatly improved productivity. As production capacity is released rapidly, we are also paying attention to where the next bottleneck will appear. When supply becomes more and more abundant, demand, distribution and high-quality connections will become increasingly important.

What Articuler is committed to solving is essentially not "how to find more people", but "how to find the people you really need to know at the moment". "Finding people" is the starting point, but the real value is to turn matching into connections, make connections generate results, and form a network from this. Articuler cuts into the market from "event", the smallest atomic social network, understands people's capabilities, demands and real-time intentions in real scenarios, and also enables every choice and interaction to reversely improve the next matching.

We believe that when these atomic networks continue to grow and connect, "finding the right person" will change from something that relies on acquaintances and luck to a capability that can be generated on a large scale; and the value of professional social networking will truly shift from "knowing more people" to "enabling the right people to know each other".

Linge Ventures will, as always, act as co-entrepreneurs for scientists and long-term companions for entrepreneurs."

Chen Minjie from Zhuopu Investment said:

"In today's era of information overload and social atomization, compared with the efficient intelligent interaction between humans and AI, we prefer to believe that the connections between people in the future will be more warm. High-value connections will no longer be the extra numbers in the address book, but based on the clear proposition of "why we gather", and the human networking centered on intention/purpose will be a rigid demand.

Against this backdrop, the emergence of the Jason and Bob team is truly exciting. Jason himself is a social talent who is good at observing humans and making friends. After choosing the professional social track, he switched from investor to entrepreneur and showed amazing execution. In the adventure of stepping from the "ivory tower" into the "muddy battlefield", Jason proved one thing: people who truly understand the whole situation will act more decisively when they get down to practice; Bob is another kind of precious talent, who has experienced almost every rise and fall cycle of the social track, and promoted the algorithm iteration of several generations of social platforms, with rich experience, steadiness and determination. We are looking forward to the amazing chemical reaction of this pair."
