Huawei, Xiaomi and Honor smartphones are raising prices collectively starting September 1, with a maximum increase of 1,000 yuan.
On September 1, three major domestic Chinese mobile phone brands, Huawei, Xiaomi and Honor, simultaneously raised the prices of multiple of their currently available models, covering multiple price segments from flagship to mid-range, with price increases ranging from RMB 200 to RMB 1,000. This is a large-scale collective price adjustment that has affected a wide range of the domestic mobile phone market in the second half of this year.
Information from Huawei Mall shows that the Mate 80 series has completed the price adjustment today.
Among them, all storage versions of the standard Mate 80 have a unified price increase of RMB 800: the 12GB+256GB version is adjusted from RMB 4,699 to RMB 5,499, and the 16GB+1TB version is adjusted from RMB 6,499 to RMB 7,299; all versions of Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro Max have a unified price increase of RMB 1,000, the starting price of Mate 80 Pro has risen from RMB 5,999 to RMB 6,999, and the top-spec version of Mate 80 Pro Max has risen from RMB 8,999 to RMB 9,999.
According to estimates, the price adjustment range of the Mate 80 series in this round is between 11% and 17%. The mid-range Enjoy 90 Pro Max also sees a synchronous price increase of RMB 200, with the starting price adjusted from RMB 1,699 to RMB 1,899.
This round of price increase for Honor covers two products, Power2 and Magic8.
The 12GB+256GB version of Power2 is adjusted from RMB 2,699 to RMB 3,199, with an increase of RMB 500, and the 12GB+512GB version has an increase of RMB 600; all versions of Magic8 have price increases ranging from RMB 300 to RMB 500, and the starting price is adjusted from RMB 4,499 to RMB 4,799.
For Xiaomi, the starting prices of the 17 series, REDMI K90 series and Turbo 5 Max models have all been raised.
Xiaomi 17 is raised from RMB 4,799 to RMB 5,099, Xiaomi 17 Pro is raised from RMB 5,399 to RMB 5,699, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is raised from RMB 6,499 to RMB 6,999; REDMI K90 Max is raised from RMB 3,499 to RMB 3,899, the K90 Ultra version is raised from RMB 3,299 to RMB 3,699, and Turbo 5 Max is raised from RMB 2,799 to RMB 2,999.
This is Xiaomi's second price adjustment for its models within a month, following the price adjustment on August 2.
The core incentive for this round of collective price adjustment comes from the upstream supply chain.
According to industry sources, Qualcomm chips will implement new prices starting from September 1, with a double-digit percentage increase, affecting multiple consumer electronics sectors such as smartphones and smart wearables; at the same time, the price of memory chips remains at a high level, and the cost pressure on end products has not been eased.
On August 18, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, predicted at the 2026 interim results media conference call that the pace of memory price increases will slow down in the second half of the year, but the overall upward trend will continue, and storage costs will remain at a high level. In addition, Lu Weibing stated in a live broadcast on May 16 that the selling price of some domestic straight-screen flagship mobile phones is very likely to exceed the 10,000-yuan mark by the end of this year.
For consumers, the concentrated price increase of mainstream models means higher phone replacement costs; for manufacturers, against the backdrop of high component costs, how to strike a balance between technical iteration and pricing will become the core topic of competition in the second half of the year.
