The Xikang High-speed Railway has entered trial operation, which will shorten the travel time from Xi'an to Ankang to less than 1 hour and promote regional development.

On August 13, the joint commissioning and testing of the Xi'an-Ankang High-Speed Railway was successfully completed, marking its official entry into the trial operation phase. The Xi'an-Ankang High-Speed Railway is a key component of the Baotou-Haikou Corridor and the Beijing-Kunming Corridor, two of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway channels outlined in the national medium- and long-term railway network plan.

The newly built main line has a total length of about 171 kilometers with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After it is open to traffic, the railway travel time between Xi'an and Ankang will be shortened from the current about 3 hours to less than 1 hour, accelerating the formation of the "one-hour economic circle" between Guanzhong and southern Shaanxi.

The Xi'an-Ankang High-Speed Railway will effectively improve the passenger and freight transport service level of the regions along the line, and inject new impetus into boosting rural revitalization in the Qinba Mountain Area and promoting local economic development.
