Puke Technology launches zero-power-consumption outdoor navigation beacon, seeking seed round financing

Anhui Puke Technology Information Consulting Co., Ltd. has launched the "Extreme Realm Guardian" all-weather long-duration zero-power outdoor navigation beacon system, targeting the industry pain points of navigation failure and high search-and-rescue costs in extreme environments such as high-altitude mountainous areas and no-man's lands. The project is currently seeking seed round financing, and the funds will be used for pilot verification of products, supply chain construction, field scenario testing and core team expansion.

The domestic outdoor sports industry continues to expand. Public data shows that the number of people participating in outdoor sports in China has exceeded 400 million, and high-altitude mountaineering and hiking adventures have gradually become the mainstream outdoor consumption direction for the public. However, the construction of safety infrastructure in alpine and no-man's land scenarios is relatively lagging behind, which has become a practical obstacle to the development of the industry. In blizzard, dense fog and extremely cold environments, mobile phones and GPS devices will completely lose their navigation capabilities due to low-temperature shutdown and signal loss; traditional wooden and iron road signs are easily buried by snow and damaged by weathering, requiring high-frequency manual maintenance. Once people get lost and lose contact, the cost of a single helicopter search and rescue can reach hundreds of thousands of yuan, and scenic area management departments and emergency rescue institutions have long been under high manpower, capital and public opinion pressure.

There is a gap in safety infrastructure in extreme outdoor scenarios. The high-altitude mountain environment has three practical dilemmas: "no electricity, no network, low visibility", and the existing solutions have their own shortcomings. Traditional road signs have low procurement costs, but high comprehensive maintenance costs over a 10-year cycle, and weak resistance to snow, wind and burial; ordinary electronic beacons rely on battery power supply, the battery decays rapidly in extremely cold environments, and regular mountain inspections are required to replace batteries, making it difficult to deploy on a large scale in vast no-man's lands.

The targeted market demand is divided into three groups. The G-end scenic spots, national parks, emergency and patrol departments need safety identification facilities that can be deployed once and maintained for a long time, so as to reduce search and rescue pressure and improve regional safety ratings. The B-end commercial mountaineering clubs and cross-country event organizers hope to rely on reliable signs to reduce the risk of team members getting separated and improve the professional support capability of activities. The C-end hardcore outdoor enthusiasts are eager for a set of physical safety guidelines that do not rely on electronic devices. On the whole, the market lacks an infrastructure-level navigation product that takes into account extreme environment tolerance, low full life cycle cost and scalable implementation, which is also the core opportunity for Extreme Realm Guardian to enter the market. The project also conforms to the relevant direction of the standardization construction of mountain rescue in the "Outdoor Sports Industry Development Plan" and the "14th Five-Year Plan" emergency system construction plan.

Extreme Realm Guardian builds mountain navigation solutions with physical redundancy technology

Extreme Realm Guardian beacon system implements the design concept of physical redundancy, which is divided into the basic version G-NB-01 pure physical passive beacon and the G-NB-02 intelligent extended version. The basic version does not require any power supply at all. It relies on tritium gas self-luminescence and long-afterglow fluorescent materials combined with a microprism retroreflective film to form a dual-mode luminescence system. The visible distance in dark environments can reach 20-50 meters, and the reflective distance under headlamp irradiation can reach 500-800 meters. Even if covered by shallow snow, it still retains identification capability.

In terms of hardware structure, the beacon adopts a bionic shuttle-shaped wind-breaking structure, which can resist 17-level strong wind. The shell is made of aviation-grade alloy and weather-resistant modified materials, combined with nano super-hydrophobic anti-icing coating, the working temperature ranges from -60℃ to +70℃, with IP68 protection level, and the main body design life can reach 20 years. Aiming at the complex alpine landform, the project designs three sets of modular anchor bases that can be quickly replaced, which are suitable for rock permafrost, deep snow soft soil layer, and gravel scree terrain respectively. Users can complete the quick installation of "insert, rotate, lock" even with thick gloves on.

The intelligent version reserves a micro-energy collection interface, which can be equipped with thermoelectric power generation, LoRa networking, and Beidou short message communication modules, and integrates sensors for temperature, air pressure, and snow depth to realize functions such as environmental data return and SOS emergency alarm. The beacon rod body is laser-etched with altitude, latitude and longitude, and rescue point information, and is also equipped with color coding and braille relief, retaining multi-modal information prompts in power-off and no-light environments. Compared with traditional solutions, the deployment cost of this product is 80% lower than that of building base stations and laying cables, realizing zero-maintenance deployment.

Commercial Implementation and Current Progress of the Project

Puke Technology adopts a B2G+B2B-based business model, and its target customers cover high-altitude scenic spots, national parks, forest patrol, border management departments, as well as commercial mountaineering clubs, outdoor scientific research teams, and cross-country event organizations. The profit path is divided into three stages: in the initial stage, revenue is obtained through hardware sales plus alpine installation services; in the middle stage, the equipment leasing business is expanded to provide services for short-term events and scientific research projects; in the long term, relying on the mountain environment data collected by intelligent beacons, SaaS subscription value-added services are launched. The project also sets up a public welfare plan: for every ten sets of beacons sold, one set of equipment will be donated to non-governmental public welfare rescue teams.

The core team is composed of mechanical structure, special materials and Internet of Things technical personnel. The founder Li Yang has a background in mechanical design engineering and has many experiences of alpine climbing in person, who can complete product iteration by combining front-line outdoor scenarios. According to the project implementation plan, the 0-9 month period will mainly focus on sample R&D, patent application and supply chain system construction; the 9-18 month period will promote the pilot test, produce hundreds of test prototypes, carry out field environment verification in multiple climate regions, and complete relevant certifications; the 18-36 month period will promote large-scale mass production and build a national alpine installation and delivery system.

This round of seed round financing of 3 million yuan is sought, and the funds will be mainly used for product pilot verification, outdoor field testing, supply chain optimization, and talent expansion in R&D and marketing positions. The project hopes to build a mountain safety navigation grid through the large-scale deployment of hardware products, make up for the shortcomings of safety infrastructure in extreme outdoor environments, reduce the incidence of outdoor adventure missing accidents, and cut the comprehensive rescue costs of the government and scenic spots at the same time.
