Australian AI infrastructure firm Firmus has secured $2 billion in financing, with participation from NVIDIA, Blackstone and other investors.

On August 7, Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure company Firmus announced the completion of a $2 billion strategic equity financing. The investors include NVIDIA, Coatue, funds managed by Blackstone and other Blackstone investment vehicles, and global trading and technology firm Jane Street also participated in the investment. Firmus stated that this round of financing will be used to accelerate the layout of its "Southgate AI Factory" project in Australia, and prepare for future expansion into other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
